Overview
Kicks and Tricks is a children’s sports and extracurricular group that needed a fast, functional site on a tight budget. The priority was a clear path for parents to find sessions and then move straight into a separate booking system. The site had to be simple, mobile-friendly, and reliable, without the cost of a complex bespoke build.
Brief
The client wanted a rapid build that focused on clarity and practical outcomes. The site needed to highlight the types of activities, locations, and age groups, while keeping the actual booking process in their existing external system. The visual style needed to feel energetic without distracting from the key actions.
Approach
We built a lightweight site with a direct information hierarchy. Each page focuses on a single action: learn about the programme, check schedules, or book a place. Links to the external booking platform are placed consistently across key pages so parents can move into the booking flow without searching.
We used a simple layout system to keep costs down and ensured the design remains easy to update. Content blocks are modular, so new sessions or seasonal changes can be added without reworking the entire page structure. Mobile usability was a priority, as most parents browse on phones.
We also kept the content concise. Short paragraphs, clear headings, and simple lists make it easy for visitors to scan important information quickly. This reduces confusion and helps users reach the booking system in fewer steps.
Outcome
The result is a cost-effective site that supports the client’s primary goal: drive bookings through an external system. The build provides a clear summary of activities and makes it easy for parents to take the next step. The structure is stable, making it easy to maintain and update as classes grow.
Notes
This project demonstrates how a rapid, budget-led build can still deliver a strong user journey. By keeping the site focused and linking cleanly to the booking provider, the client gets practical results without unnecessary overhead.
